Pickup at your own pharmacy

How pickup works

Name the pharmacy you already trust, near home, work, or school, anywhere in Texas. Tell us that pharmacy when you start, before your review.

After your Clinician review, your prescription is sent there electronically, if prescribed. The pharmacy prepares it and sends its own ready-for-pickup message.

Pickup is usually the fastest way to start, often the same day once approved. That speed matters when care is time-sensitive.

Pickup is required for a first fill when identity verification is borderline.

A familiar place for refills

Your refills land where you already go, alongside anything else you collect there. The pharmacy team already knows your other medicines and your routine.

If a medication is out of stock, the counter team can help on the spot. They can also talk with your Clinician about suitable next steps.

You get a real-person moment with a pharmacist, too. Ask how to take your medication, what to expect, and how it fits with your other medicines.

Good to know: pharmacy hours, stock, and counter wait times vary by location. Calling ahead to confirm readiness can save a trip.

Mail delivery — the Evolve mail plan

How mail delivery works

Our pharmacy partner mails your medication in plain packaging, with an adult signature required on delivery. Plan for someone aged 18 or older to sign.

Plain packaging means the outside does not name your condition or medication. Delivery notifications use the same neutral wording as the rest of your care.

One flat total is shown before you start. That total covers your visit, medication, and shipping, and is collected by Evolve.

The standing note on mail

Mail is available for most medications, not all. Some need refrigeration or special handling, and some addresses can't be reached by mail.

If mail isn't possible for your medication or your address, we'll tell you before you pay. Your prescription goes to your pharmacy for pickup instead, with no extra visit charge.

No delivery dates are promised. Your medication is sent once your Clinician approves it, if prescribed.

Why pickup is the safest first fill

A real-person check at the counter, every time.

The pharmacy confirms who collects it

For a first fill especially, pickup adds a safety step — and a chance to ask the pharmacist questions before your first dose.

What happens at the counter

  • The pharmacy confirms your name and date of birth.
  • You show your government photo ID.
  • Bring the same photo ID you used in the secure intake.
  • You can confirm the medication name and dose before leaving.

Our prescriptions carry this note for the pharmacy:

Verify government photo ID; release only to the patient named

Insurance, and changing your pharmacy

Insurance at your own pharmacy

Insurance may pay for medication at your own pharmacy, subject to your plan coverage.

At pickup, medication cost is separate from your care cost. Your pharmacy confirms that cost with you at the counter.

Changing your pharmacy

You are never locked in to one pharmacy. You can name a different pharmacy for a future fill, at a refill or check-in.

You can also switch routes for a future fill, choosing pickup one time and mail another time.

Just tell your care team before that fill is sent. Once a fill has been sent, it cannot be moved.

A refill is always a Clinician re-check first. Tell your care team if your health or medicines have changed.

Keep your details current

Accurate details keep every fill safe, and keep it moving.

Your medication list

Tell your Clinician about medicines started elsewhere, plus vitamins, supplements, and any allergy to a medicine. A complete list helps your Clinician check for interactions before anything is prescribed.

If another provider changes a dose, mention it at your next check-in. Your next review is only as accurate as the list behind it.

Your address and pharmacy details

If you move house, change jobs, or start using a pharmacy closer to a new routine, update your details early. An old delivery address, or a pharmacy you no longer visit, can delay a fill you are waiting on.

For mail delivery, also confirm an adult can be at that address to sign when the package arrives.

Ready when you are

Choose pickup or mail when you start. You can change your pharmacy for a future fill later.
